It only becomes a real constraint on large sites — faceted navigation, endless filter combinations, calendar archives. On a 200-page site it is rarely the problem.
The fix is usually subtraction: block what should never be crawled, consolidate duplicates, and make the important pages reachable in fewer clicks.
Why it matters
A page the crawler never reaches cannot rank, however well it is written.
