Fetch As Google

The former Search Console feature for fetching a URL as Googlebot; now part of the URL Inspection tool.

Use URL Inspection instead: it shows the crawled HTML, the rendered output and the indexing decision in one place.

The rendered HTML view is the fastest way to prove whether JavaScript content reaches the index.

Seeing the page as the crawler does settles most arguments about “Google can’t see it”.

The old name still appears in documentation and briefs, so it is worth recognising.
